Need special IR receiver for Dish Network IRD?

I've been trying to learn codes for my Dish Network VIP211. They learn, but never work properly when transmitted...

After some reading it appears that my IRtrans device is not able to read the 56khz IR frequency sent by Dish remotes. My device shows:

IRServer Version 6.02.82
[ 0]: IRTrans LAN : IR VER: E6.04.51 ETH VER: L1.07.56 SN: 45965
MAC:00-22-3e-07-00-60 IP Addr: 172.31.254.14

Can I simply plug in a universal IR receiver and then it will understand (learn) the 56khz codes properly? So,
1. Is COD-RCV-EXT the right device for my unit?
2. Will my unit be able to transmit 56KHz IR? (Or do I need a special transmitter too)

Thanks

Hi,
the COD-RCV-EXT is the correct choice for your device to learn 56kHz.

The IRTrans is able to transmit 56kHz, no problem.
