Hi there,
Thanks for sending a IRTrans-Ethernet device without DB (IRT-LAN-Mod).
Testing in a Windows environment was great, IRTrans-server in windows was working fine.
As well learning as sending codes was an easy job.
So I tried to install the IRTrans Server on a Fedora-system, but no connection to the module could be established.
I used as well the command
sudo ./irserver -loglevel 4 lan => No IRTrans Devices found
as
sudo ./irserver -loglevel 4 <ip-adress> => Error opening COM/USB-Port / LAN Device
which both came up with error-messages (see above).
Fedora was a new installation.
so I gave a new UBUNTU-Installation a try but without success.
As fas as I know, there is no firewall enabled by default in either of the OS.
All three OS (Windows/Fedora/Ubuntu) were installed in a virtual environment (Parallel Desktop on a Mac), with standard settings (and Windows was working fine - so I see no problems there).
I tried to find something in the board, but without luck.
Do you have any ideas, why it's not working with my Linux-distributions?
thx in advance for your help!
