Hardware selection

Hello,

I have an older house and cannot add new wiring. I have a LAN that uses the existing powerlines based on Devolo 200 (200mbps). I would like to control a Sky satelite receiver and a Pioneer Digital satelite receiver in one room from a TV room elsewhere in the house and from a bedroom. Both receivers use ordinary IR remote controls. There are powerline based LAN accesspoints in all three rooms. I can use a laptop to do any programming but afterwards I would like the system to run independent from the laptop. What IRTrans equipment do I need?

Thanks in advance for your attention.

Hi,
we would suggest an IRTrans Ethernet IRDB in each room where you want to send or receive IR Codes.
Furthermore you will need a power supply for each device. We would also suggest buying one device
with the universal learning receiver.

Thank you very much for your quick reply. Are you sure these units work with a powerline (home electricity network) based LAN?

Hi,
the devices will work with every Ethernet network (10 / 100 MBit). If it is Powerline based or not should not make any difference.
