Hmmm, that does not sound good.

Is it going to be fixed soon?

Just bought FritzBox, for several reasons, so no inclination to exchange at the moment.

I assume you will take the IRTrans module back, as it is not working?
Alternatively, would be willing to exchange for WLAN module - assuming this works with FritzBox

Many thanks,

Hi,
we do know that is not a satisfactory situation for our customers.

Our problem is that we are > 99% sure that this is not a problem with our devices but with the FritzBox. We have more than 20.000 IRTrans LAN Devices installed all over the world and we do not have a single problem with compatibility elsewhere. Only the Fritzbox 7390 makes such a problem. Even other FritzBox modles work fine.

In general the problem is that data to the IRTrans Device is not forwarded from LAN to WLAN and vice versa. That means if you install a WLAN IRTrans device you will be able to reach it from your WLAN but not from your LAN. That both devices are affected makes us even more sure that there is a problem somehow with the FritzBox as both IRTrans devices (LAN and WLAN) use totally different IP Stacks.

Currently we are trying to get a Test Device of the FritzBox 7390 from AVM so that we can nail down the problem so that they will hopefully fix it.
