AUX RS232

Postby dem1980 » Thu 19. Jul 2012, 09:22

Hello,

in IRTrans GUI client, there is an option to setup an ip adress for an AUX RS232.
What is the interest of this fonction ?
How can we use it ?
It is to connect to RS232 by serial or by ethernet to a RS232 device ? Is it for the RS232 cable for IRTrans Ethernet ?
I don't found this option in the actual manual.

Thank you

Hi,
you cannot set an IP Address for an RS232 port - at least we do not know such a setting.

There is a Tab to set RS232 parameters. That tab is used for devices with RS232 port (e.g. LAN Controller XL, LAN IO) or when the active RS232 cable is connected.
